Out and About Community Transport has been operating

a volunteer car scheme since 2000.

Local volunteers use their own vehicles to bring registered members of

Out & About Community Transport to a wide range of appointments offering not only transport but a friendly face and companionship.

​

Volunteer drivers receive genuine out of pocket expenses such as fuel and refreshment expenses (as permitted by HMRC guidelines) but in addition receive immense satisfaction by giving a little something back to their local community.

The Volunteer Car Scheme is very flexible to your timetable and you will only be asked to carry out trips if you are available and have the time.
